Isn't Pursuance the greatest song ever or what?

to that (with good headphones)! The drums and sax go hard, and the bass and piano go swell together... I think I've discovered my new favorite song. Now I have lots of questions... it says on wiki how Coltrane composed all the songs, does that mean even for the bass, piano, etc? And how does the drummer know when to like... play intensely or know when someone else is going to play... it's as if he's reading their minds. Also, are jazz albums usually recorded live, or do they like record a separate section like the piano then overlay it on the original track? It seems amazing that something like A Love Supreme was recorded with everyone playing at the same time with no mistakes. I also like how in Pursuance there's this sorta hidden melody in Coltrane's playing that's hard to define but it still sounds lovely when he plays, what genre of jazz is that? I think it's model jazz after reading it on wiki, but then what's hard bop? In any case, I just need good jazz recommendations similar to ALS (mainly with drums that crash hard and loudly). Also, Psalm sucks. And how could anyone like Ascension? Well I did like it that one time I was carpooling after getting into a crash that raised my heart rate. It's funny because after first hearing the black saint and the sinner lady, I thought i'd never find anything that could compare to it in jazz. PursuEACE!!
